How do you face imperfection? Let’s imagine you are washing one of your favourite dishes, the one that belonged to your great aunt Bertha. The one that was a family heirloom, and it suddenly slips from your grasp and shatters into several pieces on the floor. You look down at the pieces and feel sad. How would you react to breaking this dish? Would you sweep up the pieces and resign yourself to the fact you will have to get a replacement at some stage only nothing will ever replace it, or would you pick up the pieces and try and put the dish back together, because, after all, it is your favourite dish?
