Winter’s here!
The clocks changed a few weeks ago. Have you been able to adjust yet? It takes time, doesn’t it, to go from having months of sunny days and lighter nights to dark evenings and cold bleak days? I reckon if it wasn’t for the fact that the magic of Christmas is around the corner, a lot of us would get really down in the dumps. I have to say I am one of those people who actually like the change in seasons, temperatures and activities. I love the contrast. How about you?
Today, Our lovely couple Josh and Chloe are spending a lovely winter afternoon at home. Let’s see what they are up to.
Josh: Gosh, Chloe! It’s got dark early this afternoon. It’s only 4 pm and it’s dark already.
Chloe: The weather won’t have helped. It’s been a really, really, dark, miserable day. If I didn’t have to, I don’t think I would go out much in the winter, Josh, just for a walk and to get supermarket supplies.
Josh: Wouldn’t you? Wouldn’t you get bored?
Chloe: I don’t think I would, no. I’m a homebody, Josh. You know that.
Josh: I think I’d be crawling the walls after a day or so. I’d rather watch paint dry than stay here staring at four walls all day. I like being out and about.
